Company Environmental Policy:

R P Compliance Testing Ltd is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. Being a company that provides services designed to minimise the impact of emissions from purpose built buildings, we will continually manage and where possible, improve our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points. We will encourage our customers and suppliers to do the same.

Environmental Strategy:

• Minimise waste by evaluating and improving operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible
• A clear commitment to reducing pollution throughout all business processes, i.e. vehicles, lighting, heating, noise, etc
• Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of its fleet and the source of its power requirement
• Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company
• The Company will train its staff to raise awareness of environmental issues and enlist their support in improving the Company’s performance
• Promote the benefits of the ‘green’ services that the Company provides
• Identify, monitor and review external & internal issues that are relevant to the business. Address any impact created by those issues as may be necessary
• Manage & routinely review all identified risks and opportunitues relevant to the business

Environmental Impact:

• We will reduce the need to travel whenever possible and promote alternatives to travel when practicable; use ‘green’ vehicles wherever possible
• We will seek to minimise the amount of energy used, switching everything off when not in use and consider energy consumption of new equipment/supplies when making purchases
• We will reuse and recycle everything we are able to
• Materials used in the process of cleaning and maintenance will be as environmentally friendly as possible

Environmental Objectives:

• Maintain a framework for tackling the environmental impact of the Company’s business
• Retain certification to our valued ISO14001 Environmental Management System
• Continuously identify ways of minimising consumption and adopt fuel-efficient systems
• Promote energy management to staff
• Review the Environmental Policy to evaluate effectiveness, with the frequency of such reviews determined by the needs of the business

Sustainable Development Targets:

• MANAGEMENT: To continually improve environmental performance and reduction of environmental impact; Report regularly on environmental management issues; Communicate and influence the benefits of the services provided by the Company to our Customers (existing & potential)
• PERFORMANCE: Continue to recycle office waste; Reduce business miles by careful contract review and route planning, which will be recorded in terms of number of days that have resulted in savings (miles, cost & time)
