The purpose of Building Regulation Part F 2010 - F1 'Means of ventilation' is to ensure that 'adequate means of ventilation is provided for people in the building’, therefore improving the performance of the building and the indoor air quality for occupants of both new and existing dwellings in the UK
By providing air from outside to breath, ventilation contributes to the dilution and removal of pollutants as well as a reduction in humidity and condensation. This creates a more pleasant environment and relief for sufferers of asthma and allergies.
The 2010 Part F Document now requires 'in situ' testing of ventilation systems to ensure they have been installed correctly and perform to the design, i.e. air-flow rates.
R P Compliance Testing Ltd have fully trained and qualified test engineers to carry out the necessary testing to provide completion certificates.
All measuring equipment used to carry out tests is calibrated to UKAS requirements by BSRIA, UKAS Calibration Laboratory No.
